A Physical Therapist 2 consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of complex patients. In doing so, the Physical Therapist 2 acts as a role model and supervisor for junior staff and helps identify patients with unmet physical therapy needs. This therapist seeks and provides feedback to improve clinical practice and begins to assume a leadership role, seeking mentoring in this process. The Physical Therapist 2 focuses on expanding clinical knowledge and skills beyond entry level and shares this knowledge through in-services and mentoring PT1s, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Therapists at this level may contribute to performance appraisals. The PT2 is expected to serve as a primary clinical instructor for students.
$73,444.80 - $117,520.00 annually.
Requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 20–50 lbs. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
