Job summary

SmallTalk Pediatric Therapy in San Diego is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide per diem PT services to infants and young children in daycare/CDC settings.

Ideal candidates have EI experience with infants under 12 months, work independently in a daycare-based model, and collaborate with on-site SLPs and OTs. Flexible scheduling with administrative support and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Early Intervention (EI) experience, including children under 1 year old.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in California.
• Independent, proactive, and confident in daycare-based service delivery.
• Collaborative team player; positive, engaging with young children.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services in a daycare/CDC setting.
• Treat infants and young children using play-based, developmentally appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with on-site Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.
• Educate teachers and caregivers on positioning, mobility, and developmental strategies.
• Complete documentation in our EMR.

Position Overview

Per diem role

Approximately 2–3 hours per day

One daycare/CDC location per day

This role is ideal for a PT who enjoys focused, meaningful sessions in a consistent setting without traveling between multiple sites in one day.

What You’ll Do

• Provide physical therapy services in a daycare/CDC setting
• Treat infants and young children using play-based, developmentally appropriate interventions
• Collaborate closely with on-site Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists
• Educate teachers and caregivers on positioning, mobility, and developmental strategies
• Complete documentation in our easy-to-use EMR
