Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our home-based Early Intervention team in California. You will work with infants, toddlers and families, providing developmental assessments and PT services in the child’s natural environment.

We offer flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay ($75–$85 per hour based on experience) and a sign-on bonus. Join a multidisciplinary program focused on family-centered coaching and positive outcomes for young children.

Qualifications

• California PT license required.
• Pediatric/Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and ensure progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with HIPAA and/or state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
