Job description

Coastal Kids Occupational Therapy, PLLC in Kennebunkport, ME, is seeking an experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our close-knit team of Speech, Occupational, Feeding, and Pelvic Floor Therapists. This position offers flexible scheduling, from part-time (minimum 3 days a week with afternoons required) to full-time per diem. We value teamwork and a love for working with children. Our clinic is located in Arundel, Maine.

The candidate must meet the following requirements:

1. Must LOVE working with children!
2. Master’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy
3. State of Maine PT License
4. APTA accredited
5. Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric Physical Therapy experience (new graduates with strong pediatric rotations considered)
6. Ability to work closely with our team
7. Excellent organizational skills
8. Ability to write and articulate findings
9. Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
10. Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)
11. Carry own liability insurance
12. Engage in continuing education yearly
13. Knowledge of Sensory Integration (a plus)
14. Ability to lift clients (minimum 50 lbs) using proper body mechanics
15. Ability to walk, bend, stand, reach, and transition from floor to standing while supporting clients safely

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for:

1. Providing Physical Therapy services including evaluations, screenings, plans of care, 1-1 treatment, co-treats, groups, and re-evaluations.
2. Supervising PTAs and students as needed.
3. Collaborating with parents, teachers, physicians, and team members to communicate, educate, and provide services per guidelines.
4. Coordinating meetings such as testing, screening, IEPs, parent conferences, and training sessions.
5. Developing treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials.
6. Consulting for parent training and use of assistive devices.
7. Interpreting medical reports within scope to ensure appropriate treatment plans.
8. Maintaining records and documentation for compliance and reference.
