Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a PHP Therapist to provide direct patient care within a Partial Hospitalization Program for children and adolescents.

The role involves crisis intervention, treatment planning, group sessions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, therapeutic care. Responsibilities include social history assessments, documentation, discharge planning, and coordination with post-discharge services.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in psychology or social work or related field.
• 1-3 years experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
• LCSW or LCPC and a CADC. BLS Provider certification through the American Heart Association and CPI certification required upon completion of orientation. BLS Provider and CPI certifications must remain active throughout employment.
• Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, CPI leadership skills, diagnostic understanding behind behaviors often exhibited within milieu and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and leadership to the PHP department.
• Conduct social history assessments and create social work assessments or updates.
• Develop and implement individual and master treatment plans, and oversee group sessions.
• Document in the medical record with progress notes, discharge planning, and treatment updates.
• Support discharge/aftercare planning and coordinate with post-discharge services.
