Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician in Edina, MN with Pediatrics experience. The role covers venous and capillary blood collection for adults and children, POC testing, and related duties.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with rotational weekends; salary range $24–$27 per hour, with potential performance bonus. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and/or perform POC as assigned.
• Cleans and re-stocks POC supplies and prepares phlebotomy carts/trays.
• Assists coworkers with draws and POC testing.
• Draws venous or capillary blood from newborn through geriatric patients using proper aseptic collection techniques.
• Draws and delivers all blood work within established departmental policy time frames.
• Performs and processes all POC tests on patients ranging from newborn to geriatrics.
• Completes clerical functions associated with POC testing documents.
• Reports incidents/issues regarding patients or employees timely to group leader or supervisor.
• Reports supply needs and equipment defects in a timely fashion.
