Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks a Pediatric Phlebotomist for a Part-Time role (M-F 5p-8p, Sat 8a-5p) in the Laboratory Outreach department. You will perform advanced phlebotomy procedures on pediatric patients, ensure properly identified specimens, and enter orders and patient data accurately into the lab system, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Experience in pediatric phlebotomy is preferred; the role supports QA activities, competency training, and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required plus phlebotomy training.
• Experience in pediatric phlebotomy preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine phlebotomy procedures and handles samples for lab analysis.
• Ensures properly identified and labeled specimens per procedures.
• Registers patients, enters orders and billing information, and ensures timely specimen transport.
• Maintains accurate records and complies with safety policies including PPE.
• Completes annual competency assessments and pursues professional development.
