• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously using straight or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physician orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper handling and temperature control.
