Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• CPht certification from PTCB/ICPT or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of safety, emergency, and risk management procedures.
• Operates equipment required for pharmacy procedures and adheres to safety regulations and policies.
• Assists pharmacists with medication distribution, including aseptic techniques for admixture and use of automated dispensing cabinets.
• Maintains USP 797 standards and regulatory documentation.
• Supports training and may verify competency of new technicians.
• Maintains inventory control and documentation as needed.
