Job summary

Children's South in Hoover is seeking an Operating Room Nurse I for the PeriOp South team. This full-time Day Shift (5:30am-2pm, Monday-Friday) focuses on pediatric perioperative care across OR, PACU, and Pre-Op settings.

The role requires an Alabama RN license, current BLS, and PALS before independent practice in PACU. Staff must be flexible, self-directed, and capable of floating between perioperative areas as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama
• Current BLS certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate perioperative nursing care for surgical patients.
• Deliver safe, effective, and family-centered care in the perioperative setting.
• Float between OR, PACU, and Pre-Op as needed
