Job summary

Dell Medical School at the University of Texas seeks a Provider Behavioral Health Consultant to support mental health programs and initiatives across Texas, with a focus on improving access to care for mothers, children, and adolescents.

Under supervision of the Medical Director, you will provide consultation to pediatricians, family physicians, OB/GYNs, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and midwives, coordinating referrals and resources to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related discipline with at least 3 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages and evaluates requests in assessment, diagnosis, behavioral management, and referrals per program protocol.
• Provides psychoeducation, referral information, and resources to requesting providers.
• Collaborates with PCPs, psychiatrists, and program coordinators to coordinate consults and referrals for children, adolescents, and mothers.
