Job summary

Wolfson Children's Hospital, part of Baptist Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre-Op and Post-Op unit at the Surgery Center. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on perioperative care, patient assessment, and coordination with families to develop individualized plans.

Requirements include 2–4 years in ED, ICU, or surgical services; ADN required, BSN preferred; BLS and RN licensure. No major holidays, no weekends, and no call required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years Emergency Department, ICU, or Surgical Services experience.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS required; Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care provided by the nursing team and coordination with ancillary services.
• Involve patients and families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Coordination and preparation of the assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and anticipation of case needs.
• Care in a fast-paced peri-operative unit, specializing in PreOp and Phase 2 recovery.
• No major holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements.
