Job summary

Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY is seeking a full-time Pediatric Perfusionist to join a collaborative team of three. The role supports approximately 150 open-heart procedures per year, including heart transplants and ventricular assist device support.

Perfusion plays a supporting role in Mechanical Support (no ECMO initiation). The department provides clinical instruction for perfusion schools and participates in ongoing quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Perfusion Technology.
• ABCP certification.
• Minimum 3 years pediatric experience preferred. FPP is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team of three and support ~150 open-heart procedures per year, including heart transplants and VADs.
• Perfusion plays a supporting role in Mechanical Support (No ECMO initiation).
• Provide clinical instruction for perfusion schools and participate in ongoing quality improvement projects.
• Exposure to a broad range of pediatric cardiac procedures within a growing program.
