Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Congenital Heart Surgery team seeks a Congenital Perfusionist to provide life-sustaining cardiopulmonary bypass support for pediatric and congenital heart patients. You will operate advanced perfusion technology and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

This role offers exposure to complex congenital surgery populations, premier pediatric heart programs, and advanced mechanical circulatory support including ECMO and LVAD,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in perfusion and eligibility to take CCP/ABCP certification.
CCP certification required or currently CCP in good standing.
All new hires must obtain CCP within three testing cycles.
Three months of on-the-job training to become proficient in perfusion techniques.

Responsibilities

Assemble, operate and disassemble the heart-lung machine within safe clinical practice.
Provide total patient support during cardiopulmonary bypass.
Set up and operate ECMO devices and perfusion equipment.
Manage patient parameters within safe ranges.
Support organ transplants, LVAD and new surgical procedures.
