Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Instructor for the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Emergency Medicine, to provide pediatric emergency care across the CHCO Network of Care in Colorado. The role emphasizes clinical practice, supervision of trainees, and ongoing participation in quality improvement and education.

Open to applicants with MD/DO, board certification in PEM/EM, PALS, and CO medical licensure.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree is required.
• Board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Active PALS certification.
• Active Colorado Medical License and Colorado State DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to acutely ill and injured pediatric patients birth to 26 years.
• Maintain 1.0 FTE clinical effort across CHCO Network of Care locations.
• Attend monthly Section meetings and participate in quality improvement and clinical guideline development.
• Supervise onboarding for Advanced Practice Providers and teach medical students and residents.
• Maintain skills including airway management, procedures, and resuscitation with annual CME
