Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore is seeking a Shift-Rotating Patient Care Technician. Under the supervision of a nurse, you perform routine patient care and delegated procedures as competency documentation designates.

Your duties include assisting patients with dressing, transporting them by stretcher or wheelchair, recognizing abnormal findings, and reporting to nursing staff. You will escort patients, verify information, orient families, and obtain vital signs in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• BLS certification required or provided by employer.
• One year of clinical experience or completion of the intern program.

Responsabilités

• Assist the patient with changing/dressing.
• Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could affect surgical and patient outcomes.
• Report all abnormal findings to the nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings.
• Verify patient information.
• Orient patients and families to the environment.
• Obtain vital signs.
