RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Evening Pediatric Patient Care Technician at Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The role supports the inpatient rehab unit by assisting with vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient mobility while collaborating with RNs and therapists.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and an American Heart Association BLS certification, with CNA experience or training preferred. Evening shifts, weekends, and some holidays are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred or a CNA certificate.
• Minimum 2 shifts per month from 11am to 11pm; weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, nursing care, and activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document patient health status and vital signs.
• Support RNs in delivering hands-on patient care and care plans.
• Maintain infection control practices and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care.
