Job summary

Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network in Tacoma, WA is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT). The role covers nursing care, patient transport and clerical duties to support exceptional pediatric patient outcomes.

This role operates with a flexible 0.9 FTE and evening, 12-hour shifts. You will develop age-appropriate nursing skills, collaborate with RNs and practitioners, and engage families in care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification eligible; Must apply within seven (7) days of hire and obtain within sixty (60) days of hire.
• Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure required.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Recent bedside care experience in a health care environment.

Responsibilities

• You will perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
• You will assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions.
• Apply your strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups.
• Collaborate with health care practitioner or registered nurse for comprehensive quality care.
