Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or CNA certification.
  • Currently enrolled in a BSN degree with one clinical rotation completed at hire.
  • One year of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection and documentation of patient/family data.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and notify supervisor of abnormal findings.
  • Provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care in collaboration with the RN and patient/family.
  • Collaborate with multiple RNs to prioritize workload based on patient/family needs.
  • Assist in identifying patient/family response to care provided.
  • Contribute to development and modification of the plan of care with RN input.
  • Maintain accountability for personal development and support others.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Participate in achieving hospital/unit goals.

Education

Nursing assistant program or CNA certification
BSN program with one clinical rotation
One year direct patient care experience
