Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Patient Access Specialist to manage on-site patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling in our Tallahassee office. This role supports revenue cycle processes and delivers excellent customer service to patients and families.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, 2–3 years of medical office experience, and a willingness to learn Epic EHR. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to assist diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain, verify, and update patient demographics.
• Complete patient check-in and check-out accurately.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Create and maintain patient charts in the EHR.
• Collect copays, prepayments, and outstanding balances.
• Schedule patient appointments per department policies.
• Sort and distribute mail, medical records, and other correspondence.
• Maintain a clean, organized lobby and work area.
