Job summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital seeks an academic anatomic pathologist at the level of assistant, associate or full professor to join one of the largest pediatric pathology and laboratory medicine departments in the U.S.

The successful candidate will join a staff of about 30 pathologists and doctoral scientists; 100% on-site position with opportunities in Neuropathology, Autopsy and Perinatal Pathology, digital pathology, and education for

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in pathology completed.
• Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical, clinical pathology, or autopsy diagnostics including frozen sections, gross and microscopic examinations, and autopsy reports.
• Supervise residents and fellows; contribute to teaching and rotations.
• Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and alternative service projects.
• Collaborate on molecular testing materials and national initiatives; engage in research and publications.
• Lead and participate in clinical education activities and grand rounds.
• Represent the department on hospital and medical staff committees.
