Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Pediatric PACU RN to join the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland team. You will provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting, collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to ensure safe, high-quality recovery.

The role requires California RN licensure, pediatric PACU or critical care experience, and strong verbal and written communication, organization, and multi-tasking. On-call duties apply; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Pediatric PACU or critical care experience required.
• Current California RN license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task under pressure.
• On-call commitment required.
• CPR certification and PALS certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient recovery.
• Utilize nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assist with management of patient care by the nursing team.
