Children's National Hospital in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide comprehensive postoperative care. You will assess airway status, manage ventilation, monitor cardiopulmonary function, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.

The role requires BC licensed RN with DC eligibility, CPR and PALS certification, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced pediatric setting at our Fairfax campus.

Qualificações

• BSN preferred; 2 years PACU or related critical care experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in District of Columbia.
• CPR and PALS certifications required.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and manage patient's airway postoperatively including breakthrough laryngospasms.
• Perform manual intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV).
• Monitor cardiopulmonary function, airway patency, and oxygen saturation.
• Provide prompt care to minimize emergence delirium and ensure patient safety.
