Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Services on a PRN basis. The role focuses on pediatric patients with a schedule that includes 8- and 10-hour shifts, primarily Wednesdays and Thursdays, with potential for other days as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an active NC RN license, with an Associate degree required and BSN preferred. BLS is required within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
