Job summary

Beautiful Gate Center in North Charleston, SC seeks an Occupational Therapist / Level II (OTR/L) to provide pediatric and sensory integration services in a day-treatment setting. The role involves assessments, 1:1 therapy, and program development for clients with autism, GDD, and related needs.

The ideal candidate holds SC licensure, NBCOT, a Master’s in OT, and specialized sensory processing or NDT credentials, with 5–10 years of experience and a collaborative, HIPAA-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current SC state license to practice and provide an NPI number.
• NBCOT certification required or active status.
• Master’s Degree in OT from an accredited university.
• Sensory Processing Disorder certification; NDT certification preferred.
• 5–10 years of clinical OT experience with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Render direct OT services and assessments for pediatric to adult clients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and sensory diets; supervise COTA staff.
• Complete insurance authorizations and progress reporting; maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; mentor staff and practicum students.
• Lead center-wide activities and participate in external events; maintain client engagement.
