Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to support students in a range of school-based and home health settings in the Detroit area. You will collaborate with educational teams to empower children through motor development and adaptive strategies, delivering hands-on therapy and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure.
• Experience in pediatric, school, or home health settings.
• Ability to develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Comfort working in classroom and home environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student abilities and create tailored OT plans.
• Provide direct therapy sessions focusing on fine and gross motor development.
• Document progress, maintain compliance, and update educational teams and caregivers.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote optimal learning and participation.
• Adapt strategies to address diverse developmental needs and unique learning profiles.
• Conduct screenings, re-evaluations, and make recommendations for assistive devices when appropriate.
