Root Pediatrics in Bozeman, MT is seeking a pediatric occupational therapist to work one-on-one with children and families, focusing on sensory processing, fine motor, daily living, and play in a dedicated pediatric space.

New grads welcome; you will join a multidisciplinary team including other OTs and a speech-language pathologist, with flexible session lengths and locations and the option for part-time or full-time work.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Montana license to practice occupational therapy.
• Pediatric fieldwork/clinical rotations count; new grads welcome.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication with children and families.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing children's needs and building plans.

Responsabilités

• Comprehensive evaluations — Assess each child's physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities, alongside developmental history and family concerns.
• Develop tailored treatment plans — Design developmentally appropriate plans targeting activities of daily living, motor skills, sensory processing, and play.
• Administer therapeutic interventions — Deliver hands-on intervention supporting fine motor, self-care, sensory integration, and social-emotional development.
• Collaborative care — Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other providers on a child-centered plan.
• Monitor and adapt treatment — Track progress and adjust the plan as the child grows and changes.
• Family education and support — Coach parents and caregivers so strategies carry over at home.
• Contribute to practice improvement — Share feedback on therapy practices, processes, and facilities.
