MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide one-on-one OT services in children’s homes, daycares, and schools. Flexible scheduling includes Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN roles in the Greater Houston area, with a sign-on bonus for qualifying caseloads.

The ideal candidate has a degree in OT, Texas licensure, and pediatric interest. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; supervision of COTAs is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program.
• Texas OT license by start date.
• New grads encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience supervising COTAs preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and create individualized goals.
• Deliver evidence-based OT services per physician plans of care.
• Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care and ADLs.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate families on home programs and techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license by anticipated start date
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services in accordance with physician-approved Plans of Care
• Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, range of motion, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and activities of daily living
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
