Job summary

Phoenix Children's is expanding its Orthopaedics clinic with a Nurse Coordinator role. This full-time position supports the Main campus and secondary East Valley site, caring for pediatric patients with brittle bone syndrome under 3–4 providers.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, prefer hospital/clinic settings, and can adapt to changing priorities. After training, occasional work-from-home may be possible, with regular 8am-5pm schedule, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in hospital/clinic settings.
• Experience in physical medicine and/or rehab is a plus.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work autonomously after training.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison between patient, family and interdisciplinary team, providing teaching and support.
• Provides staff and community education on new skills, equipment, policies, protocols and guidelines.
• Identifies risks, investigates incidents, and coordinates corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintains records and prepares required grant reports.
• Manages daily program operations to ensure clinic effectiveness and high-quality care.
• Delivers developmentally appropriate clinical care within the specialty area.
• Reviews research literature to improve clinical care and regulatory compliance.
• Serves as a clinical role model and supports staff, patients and families.
• Collaborates with unit leadership on planning and decision-making and integrates patient care activities.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
