Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator within the 10364 Ortho Sports Medicine department. You will coordinate nursing care and services for patients and families by phone, electronic, in person, and by mail, collaborating with physicians to resolve health concerns.

Minimum education is a Bachelor's Degree with at least five years of pediatric nursing experience and leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 5 years of nursing experience, with at least one year of pediatric experience in a comparable setting.
• At least one year of demonstrated nursing leadership experience (e.g., charge nurse, educator, preceptor, council chair/member, advancement on the clinical ladder, or comparable positions).

Responsibilities

• Participate in/support Shared Nursing Leadership.
• Contribute to nursing excellence and Magnet designation.
• Participate in internal/external committees and community activities.
• Support and participate in the Division of Nursing’s performance improvement process.
• Identify, define, and report Nurse Sensitive Indicators (NSIs) for ambulatory nursing practice.
• Integrate evidence-based practice and research into practice.
• Assist physicians and other professional providers to maintain appropriate cost and desired patient outcomes.
• Speak up when safety concerns arise.
• Promote safety for patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
