Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a fast-paced pediatric ortho clinic. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting surgeons and PAs. Training is provided for cast removal and certification paths are supported.

Uncertified MAs are welcome with up to 12 months to become nationally certified; Banner offers study materials and covers certification costs with potential pay increases on certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording information.
• Assists with exams and in-office procedures as needed.
• Coordinates referrals, appointments and test results.
• Maintains clean and organized clinical areas and records.
