Job summary

Banner Childrens Orthopedics in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced pediatric orthopedics clinic. You will prepare patients, assist with exams, and help coordinate care, testing, and referrals with a patient-first approach.

This full-time position requires completion of an MA program, state certification, and BLS. You will work Mon-Fri 8 AM to 4:30 PM, join a team that values teamwork, communication, and safe, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Banner approved medical assistant training program meeting state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification: RMA, CMA, CCMA, or NCMA.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures (BP, pulse, temp, phlebotomy, EKGs).
• Coordinate patient care: referrals, authorizations, scheduling, test results.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing data.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and sterilize equipment per guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication logistics.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as needed.
• Work under supervision of providers and coordinate with external contacts.
