Job summary

Banner Health's Family Medicine clinic in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role requires completing an approved MA program, active MA certification, BLS, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and experience with medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures; document vitals and phlebotomy.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations, scheduling, and test results.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing information.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper disinfection of exam rooms and equipment.
• Order supplies and manage medications and recalls as directed.
• Foster effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as required.
• Work under direct supervision of providers and coordinate with external contacts.
