Job summary

Seattle Children's in Seattle, WA, seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA-C) to join Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery as First Assist. Primary duties center in the Operating Room, with direct patient care across ambulatory, ED and inpatient settings.

Requirements include a Master's degree in nursing (pediatric or family NP) or PA program graduate, WA licensure and certification, BLS/PALS, and 1 year pediatric clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with a pediatric or family NP concentration OR graduate of a nationally accredited PA program.
• One year of work experience in a pediatric or family-focused clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Surgical First Assisting: act as the primary surgical first assistant in pediatric orthopedic surgery cases.
• Patient Assessment: obtain comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations.
• Continuum of Care: manage patients across OR, inpatient floors, ED, and outpatient clinics.
• Diagnostic & Treatment Plans: order, perform, and interpret tests; prescribe medications; develop treatment plans.
• Case Management: oversee comprehensive care and continuity for pediatric patients.
