Shriners Children’s St. Louis is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) to manage pediatric orthopedic patients in a fully clinic-based setting. The position is a 1.0 FTE with a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• PA pathway requires Master of Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• NP pathway requires MSN or DNP from an accredited program with NP certification.
• Must hold NCCPA certification if PA; ANCC/AANP board certification for NP.
• Current, unrestricted license as PA or RN/APRN in state of practice.
• Must have active DEA eligibility and BLS; PALS may be required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive age-appropriate health assessments, histories, and physical exams.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and care plans with supervising physicians.
• Manage pediatric orthopedic patients in clinic setting; include pre/post-operative care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and lab tests per licensure and protocol.
• Document findings and participate in multidisciplinary clinics and care conferences.
