Job summary

Kids Care Dental And Orthodontics in Livermore, CA is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant to join our friendly team. You will support surgical procedures, prepare rooms, assist doctors during treatments, and help ensure smooth patient flow from check-in to post-op care.

The role requires 2+ years in an oral surgery setting, valid DA certificate and OSHA/ HIPAA awareness; OMSA and ACLS are valued. We offer a kid-friendly environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2+ years in an oral surgery office.
• Must have DA Certificate.
• Current and active state certified RDA license preferred.
• OMSA certified.
• ACLS Certified.
• Upbeat personality is a MUST.
• Loves working with children.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clean, neat professional appearance.
• Knowledge of Dentrix a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patient for surgery by welcoming, comforting and seating patient.
• Assist the doctor during treatment procedures.
• Assist in the recovery of patients.
• Perform dental infection control procedures.
• Assist the doctor during consults.
• Take x-rays.
• Perform all lab related procedures.
• Hand off patient at check-out.
• Ensure surgery patients are comfortable before leaving the office and have proper post-op instructions.
• Complete care calls and thank you cards.
• Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board, etc…).
• Maintain safe and clean working environment.
• Other duties as assigned
