Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and required Trauma Level I facility experience. The role is based in a pediatric hospital and involves high-acuity cases such as craniofacial/oral/plastics procedures.

Ideal candidates will hold an MA RN license, BLS/PALS certifications, and have travel experience unless they have comparable acuity OR exposure. A generous housing allowance and travel reimbursement are available.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license is required.
• BLS and PALS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Trauma Level I facility experience required.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Pediatric craniofacial/oral/plastics experience required.
• Cleft lip/cleft palate repair experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience required unless candidate has similar acuity OR experience.
• Two professional references from last 3 places of work.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a main Pediatric OR setting.
• Handle high acuity pediatric surgical cases including craniofacial, oral, and plastics.
• Perform cleft lip/cleft palate repairs.
• Cover Pediatric General OR, Pediatric ENT, and tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy cases.
• Work day shift: 4x10 hour shifts 6:45 AM–5:00 PM.
• Short call up to 3 times every six weeks from 5:15 PM–7:15 PM.
• Up to 4 on-call shifts every six weeks.
• Up to 1 weekend shift and 1 weekend call every six weeks.
• Holiday shift and call as unit requires.
• Provide high-acuity perioperative care to pediatric patients.
