Job summary

Cone Health is seeking an Operative Clinical Technician to support the OR team across pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Under close supervision, you will help maintain a sterile, safe operating room and assist the nurse with patient care and room readiness.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, and BLS/CPR certification, with responsibilities spanning patient care, equipment handling, and efficient room turnover.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience required in a clinical or hospital setting.
• BLS (CPR) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Operating Room is clean and safe per hospital and Infection Control guidelines to provide a sterile environment.
• Prepare rooms for new patients as directed by the nurse to ensure availability for upcoming surgeries.
• Relocate Operating Room equipment to provide nurses with sterile equipment for surgery.
• Provide care for patients under supervision to organize patient care plans and treatments.
• Monitor supply levels of items like linens to maintain patient comfort.
• Coordinate transportation of specimens, patients, and labs to connect resources with patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
