Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within a clinical or hospital environment.
• Experience in an Operating Room setting with multidisciplinary team coordination.
• Knowledge of anatomy, aseptic techniques, and patient safety principles.
• Sterilization practices and instrument processing, maintaining sterile fields.
• Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training; Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification or eligible to obtain within required timeframe.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient and staff safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Monitor and manage surgical instruments and equipment.
• Support sterilization processes and room turnover between cases.
• Document required information for surgical cases.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians while adhering to safety standards.
