Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech II to support the Main Operating Room instrument processing. The role involves inspection, preparation, and sterilization of instrument sets, with loads and unloads of sterilizers.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a current Central Service Technician Certification, with potential for certification within one year of employment. Hours are 3pm–11:30pm, with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years surgical instrument preparation experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent. Current Central Service Technician Certification.
• Certification can be obtained within one year of employment with proof of 6 months working experience and Completion of CS program and internship.

Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Tech II, in conjunction with the Operating Room Instrument Technician, is responsible for the inspection, preparation, and sterilization of instruments and instrument sets utilized in the Main Operating Room. Loads and unloads sterilizers.
