Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN role offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to surgical patient safety and care.

Ideal candidates will have OR experience in pediatrics, a valid Ohio RN license, and active BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred and CNOR is highly preferred. This position is W2 with variable scheduling and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, conducts assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in executing the plan of care and ensures continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
