Qualifications

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program.
• Current State of Arizona RN license or multistate privileges as required before start date.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association before start date.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions across age groups to determine initial care level.
• Continuously evaluates patient responses and documents progress for team communication.
• Ensures compliance with medication, storage and documentation standards and regulations.
• Provides unit orientation and processes guidance to patients, families, and new staff.
• Supervises care activities of assigned team members and provides feedback to maintain safety.
• Collaborates with care team and families to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Mentors students and new employees to foster learning and best practices.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
