Phoenix Children's is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing Services to lead the Main Operating Room, Cath Lab, and IR, overseeing a high-acuity pediatric surgical environment and delivering safe, family-centered care.

The role combines strategic leadership with financial oversight, performance management and process improvement, guiding department leaders and staff toward operational excellence while aligning with the mission and values of the health system.

Responsibilities

• Develops operational plans, budgets and programs to support patient care strategies.
• Manages throughput, productivity metrics and variances for staff and programs.
• Ensures capital planning and maintains a 3-year department plan.
• Manages operating budgets and targets in partnership with finance.
• Drives performance improvement and regulatory compliance across departments.
• Leads recruitment, onboarding, coaching and performance evaluations.
• Fosters a Just Culture and staff development.
• Leads strategic initiatives and growth in service lines.
• Oversees leadership and staff training and change management.
• Builds relationships with executives and operational staff.
• Ensures patient-centered care and safety across the organization.
• Manages daily operations to meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
