Job summary

NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Pediatric Registered Nurse to join its Pediatric Oncology & Critical Care/Clinical Research team. You will provide compassionate care to children with complex conditions while supporting groundbreaking trials and investigational therapies.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license.
Current BLS certification.
2–3 years of recent pediatric acute-care hospital experience.
Experience in settings such as pediatric inpatient, PICU, or pediatric step-down.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients with complex and acute conditions.
Administer investigational medications, chemotherapy, blood products, and other therapies according to research protocols.
Closely monitor patients for changes in condition, adverse reactions, and pediatric emergencies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, medications, adverse events, and clinical trial data.
Provide family-centered education, emotional support, and discharge guidance.
Collaborate with physicians, researchers, NPs, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure safe, compassionate, and protocol-driven patient care.
