Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is expanding its pediatric oncology services with a new unit at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. The RN will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality pediatric oncology care and to support families in a new 12-bed unit opening Summer 2027.

The ideal candidate has a BSN or is pursuing one, holds a Texas RN license with current BLS, and prefers PALS/APHON certifications or plans to obtain them within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Texas RN license or temporary/compact license required.
• Current BLS certification; PALS and APHON certifications preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients using the nursing process and age-appropriate assessments.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver patient care.
• Coordinates treatment plans, discharge and transfer planning, and documentation.
• Promotes compassionate, personalized experiences and ensures adherence to regulatory standards.
