Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in the Chicago western suburbs seeks a Pediatric Office Sales Specialist to promote and grow Abbott Nutritional products in physician offices.

You will call on pediatric, OB/Gyn and family practices, managing territory including Oak Park, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Downers Grove, Naperville and Aurora with two overnights per month and a company car provided. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of medical-office sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory sales goals in physician office service areas for Abbott Nutritional products.
• Call on Pediatric, OB/Gyn and Family Practices to promote products.

• Support new product launches and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Demonstrate effective administrative skills and budget management.
• Work independently with initiative and drive toward short- and long-term goals.

Our location in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL currently has an opportunity for a Pediatric Office Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Nutritional products in office settings.

TERRITORY

• The ideal candidate will reside in Chicago’s western suburbs.
• The territory includes Oak Park, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Downers Grove, Naperville and Aurora and surrounding communities.
• 2 overnights per month
• This position does not offer relocation. Local candidates only, please.
• Company car provided

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each physician’s office service area for Similac, PediaSure and Pedialyte.
• Calling on Pediatric, OB Gyn and Family Practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• The ability to work effectively with Physicians and Nurses.
• Effective administrative skills.
• Budget management.
• Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short- and long-term goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

• Bachelor’s degree required
• The ideal candidate will be technically knowledgeable with a minimum of two years sales experience in a medical office setting

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
