Job summary

Stanislaus County is seeking a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with pediatric experience to support children served through the California Children’s Services Medical Therapy Program. You will work under an OT, implement plans, and collaborate with families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team in outpatient, home, and community settings.

You will report patient progress, assist with equipment and ADL training, and participate in IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited OTA program.
• Current California CBOT license.
• Pediatric experience with CCS/MTP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement OT interventions under supervision.
• Report patient response and progress to the OT.
• Instruct and assist patients with therapeutic activities and daily tasks.
• Maintain accurate medical records and progress reports.
• Assist in equipment evaluation and caregiver training.
• Provide ADL training and caregiver education to promote independence.
• Participate in the IEP process and collaborate with the care team.
• Attend clinics, meetings and trainings; communicate changes to the OT.
• Consult with caregivers and other agencies involved in care.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment and supplies in a safe, organized manner.
