Job summary

Santee School District SPECIAL EDUCATION is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct therapy to students across Cajon Park, Hill Creek, and Sycamore Canyon sites. You will support motor skills development, participate in assessments, and help implement individualized education programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Role requires CA OT Assistant registration and First Aid/CPR/AED credentials with experience in pediatrics or educational settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the development of children, including motor and sensory aspects.
• Ability to assess developmental and educational needs and plan equivalently.
• Familiarity with occupational therapy assessment and treatment techniques.
• Experience collaborating with families and school staff to implement IEP goals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct occupational therapy services to students per IEP goals.
• Record therapy progress and maintain related logs/reports.
• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to assess student needs.
• Assist with data collection and preparation of assessment reports.
• Communicate with families and staff to implement motor skill development activities.
