Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and provide therapy for pediatric and general patients at the Stones Crossing clinic in Greenwood, IN. Schedule: 24 hours per week across Tue/Thu and Fri, with day shifts.

The role requires a BS in OT and an Indiana OT license or temporary permit; outpatient pediatric experience is preferred, along with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in OT from an accredited program.
• Active Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit.
• Preferred outpatient experience with pediatric patients.
• Knowledge of anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy concepts and current materials.
• Strong communication with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians and other customers.
• Ability to address development, behaviors, and needs across child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Establish and maintain a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning and positive patient outcomes.
• Evaluate and treat pediatric developmental needs, including fine motor delay, sensory disorders, handwriting, and object manipulation.
• Work with complex medical diagnoses, sensory processing disorders, emotional regulation issues, and autism.
• Operate within the Stones Crossing clinic location.

Hours – Days/Hours: Tuesday, Thursday; 9:00am-6:00pm and Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. 24 hours a week, 48 hours bi weekly, Benefited.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and provide therapy for disabled patients.
• Establish and maintain a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning and positive patient outcomes.
• Evaluate and treat pediatric developmental needs, including fine motor delay, sensory disorders, handwriting, and object manipulation.
• Work comfortably with complex medical diagnoses, sensory processing disorders, emotional regulation issues, and autism.
• Operate within the Stones Crossing clinic location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited OT program.
• Valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit.
• Preferred experience in an outpatient setting working with pediatric patients.
• Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.
• Effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals and communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
• Ability to incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
