Job summary

Kids Connections Developmental Therapy Center in California seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to help children with autism and developmental disabilities develop daily living skills through engaging, play-based therapy across clinic, home, and school settings.

You will collaborate with ABA and Speech colleagues, tailor treatment plans, document progress, educate families, and participate in ongoing professional development to advance outcomes for each child.

Qualifications

• Must have OT degree from ACOTE-accredited program.
• California OT license required.
• NBCOT certification/OTR preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services in clinic, home, school, and community settings.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on each child’s needs, strengths and goals.
• Address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, motor planning, self-care, and daily living skills.
• Use play-based activities to promote participation, independence, and skill development.
• Collect data and document progress through session notes and progress reports.
• Educate caregivers to support skill carryover across environments.
• Collaborate with ABA, Speech, and other team members.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and therapy materials.
